I FOUND THIS SAD BUT INTERESTING.....THIS IS ABOUT THE WEST END EAGLES NEST, THEY HAD TO TAKE THE EAGLES EGGS AWAY FROM THE PARENTS AND REPLACE THEM WITH WOODEN EGGS!!!
.
BECAUSE OF DDT USE IN CALIFORNIA THE EAGLE EGGSHELLS ARE SO THIN THEY HAVE TO INCUBATE AND THEN PUT BACK IN NEST WHEN THE EAGLETS ARE A COUPLE OF WEEKS OLD!!
.
THIS FAMILY SURPRISINGLY HAS 5 YES "FIVE" EGGS....
.
THE WEBCAM PICTURE IS NOT VERY GOOD....1 PIC SHOWING EGGS IS FROM THE CLIP!

I've seen this cam before and was surprised to read that this nest has 2 females and 1 male. I also read about exchanging the eggs. And the fact that 1 egg was so far away from the others, exchanging them was a good thing. I don't know if that egg being so far from the others would have made it. This way all 5 will have a better chance.

You can also get to this cam and others that they have through http://www.beakspeak.com/

Thanks Mothernature for sharing this bit of news. I do have a couple of other things to post, but am not sure if I'll get to them tonight. Feeling a bit under the weather here. So if you've sent stuff in that I haven't posted yet, please be patient.
.
Until later HAPPY VIEWING !!
