Well look what showed up today at Nkorho. Could it be twins ? I hear that twins are very high on someones list right now ~ Congrats to KCMary on the addition of twin grandchildren today.

Hitchin a ride

Over at the Osprey cam, Mr. and Mrs. E have been showing up

Sure are beautiful birds.
.

Kori Bustard. Looked this up and did you know these birds are 30 to 36 inches tall !? Now that's a lotta bird

Caught this just as it was time to leave for work today.

Spa time

See ya

I'm back

More Ellies

Lonely Eland

This Hyena is wondering just how to get to that Impala Fatty's got out in the water

Doesn't look like anyone is around to help out

Maybe if I wait a bit

Sure wish someone would show up to help

I can see it, smell it just can't get to it.

Oh well, guess I'd better try somewhere else

From the 28th. Had a hard enough time keeping the big ones straight. Now I just gotta figure out the little ones !

Duiker, right?

Tons of little birds in the bush

Headed to the pan

Zebra won this race

Can I help you?

Close enough ?

Check to the right...

Check to the left...

even check the pan...

slurp !

coming and going

What was that noise ?

Nothing, good. I'm still thirsty

Watch out for flying water !

Hey, they left without me !

Wonder which way they went? This way...

This way?

Maybe I can see better from over here.

Gray Go Away (lourie)

What's this I smell ?

Oh, it's you

Duiker again ?

Beesties and Impala's out in front of the lodge

My attempt at putting together a panoramic view. Used 4 different pics for this one.
.
HAPPY VIEWING !!

Took a peek over in Connecticut. This cam is nice and close. And the refresh rate is 5 seconds.

Smile for the nice people.

This nest has 2 fairly large chicks. But I also am seeing 2 eggs. Unhatched from the original group or new I don't know. I'll have to check around the site and see if it says anything. Well, just checked and it would seem that the 2 eggs are left overs. The first hatched on May 22 and the second on May 25. In 2006 only 1 of 4 hatched. Wonder why the eggs are still in the nest ? I would think that she'd of moved them to the side by now.
.

Am I all alone here ?

Maybe I just need to stand up to see.

Hello. Where is everybody ?? How come your not here ?

Mr. Impala is on his way. May that be why everyone else made themselves scarce?

He's coming ! !

The Vervets give him lots of room.

OK, I'm outta here.

Oxpecker playing in the dirt

Well, now I lost them again !

About 45 mins later, 1 lone Giraffe shows up.

Cautiously getting a drink.

Was that a noise I heard ?

Jumped up so fast I got a bit of water up my nose !

Coy, over the shoulder look

20 mins later, this bunch wonder just how they will get to the pan with the Beestie's there.

Simple dear, walk around them.

Stay together now.

Almost there.

Ahhhh....A well deserved drink.

But they don't stay long.

When the sun goes down...

the sky lites up like it's on fire.

And look who came out to play

Well maybe not to play but you know what I mean.
.
.
The pan is very quiet tonight. The only sound I've heard in about 30 mins are some distant Hyena's. Not even the normal croaking tonight. What, if anything, is lurking in the bush ?
.
So now my whole morning is gone and what do you suppose got done on the 'to do' list ? Not one thing folks. Oh well, there's always this afternoon. LOL
.
Until later HAPPY VIEWING !!
