UPDATE ON TENNESSEE LADIES

I've been following a story on one of the Ellie Sanctuary's most beloved residents. I am a regular recipient of the "Trunklines" and the "Ele-buzz" newsletters, so I've known about this for some time. I think it's worth reading.
On the blogsite, go to "US web Cams". Click on "Tenn Elephants" Once you get to the website, look for the navigation bar at the top of the page -- put the cursor on "Our Elephants". On the drop-down menu, go to "Asian Ele-Diaries". Once you're on that page, scroll down to the first entry, dated March 9. It's about Delhi. I've attached the picture that accompanies the article. There are other earlier entries in the Diary concerning her, and they're worth reading. All these entries just reinforce my feelings about these very extraordinary animals, and how incredibly sensitive and compassionate they are, and their amazing interaction is really something to behold.
I think you"ll understand what I'm saying after you read a few of these entries.

3/5 AM DRIVE CAM

Good Morning!

This drive has to be the one of the best yet - the Mapogo males are magnificent, to say the least! And this is the only way to see them - in their own back yard, as it were! Looks like they were going for # 4 in the group when the batteries went dead. What a pity! Here is my small contribution to what I can imagine is a growing number of great shots coming in from everyone. I'm sure repetitions are unavoidable, as everyone was going for THE shot! I ended up with 94 captures! The thing is, none were throw-aways!

Enjoy! ~ DaveKay

SOME OF THE BOYS

3/3 AM DRIVE

If I didn't know better, I'd say Spring arrived today! Sunny and 70 degrees! Tomorrow we return to reality - rain and the low 50's... Oh well, it can't be that far away! (written 3/4) Didn't get much from the A.M. drive, just a good study of the Wahlberg's eagle. Here's my contribution, with captions:

Pieter, by dawn's early light.

THIS dawn's early light!

Wahlberg's eagle, from a hazy distance.

A better shot.

An even better shot !

Business ends of Mr. Wahlberg.

Wow, Lioness in the morning and Leopard (Beacon male) in the evening. I certainly hope the 2 don't meet up. It would be a shame if anything happened to either one.
HAPPY VEWING !!

2/29/08 AM DRIVE

Wow! Pieter is really coming through with a lot of goodies on each of his drives - I'm grabbin' shots like crazy, knowing full well I'll regret it when I go back to clean them up to send to you! It's all well worth it, though. And it's great to have Pieter back! These are shots of the lioness that he was so excited about on this drive. She is one gorgeous cat!

Enjoy! ~ DaveKay

I can certainly see why Pieter would be so excited. She is Beautiful. Whatever she was looking at made very some very nice shots. Thanks DaveKay. I know this post is way behind but I've got a bit of an issue here that I'm trying to figure out. Seems I can't get on any streaming cam with Media Player anymore. Got 1 more thing to try before clumps of hair start coming out LOL. Well there is a lot more to get to so
HAPPY VIEWING !!
