These are from way back in April. They got stuck in an odd folder and I missed them. Sorry about that but now I've re found them and here ya go...
Being as how the last Drive got shortened by battery problems, I mozied over to the National Zoo to check on how Mei Xiang is getting along, and to see how all the critters were taking to the good weather. There is no news on Mei Xiang as of today, and the Zoo seemed very quiet on the surface. The attached shots will attest to this. Warning - there are captions! ~ DaveKay
The ellies were out and about,

playing to the public.

In the gorilla yard,

Mr. Silverback had found

a shady hideaway.

The Panda Boys
were taking it easy, while Mama was still inside, under pregnancy watch.

The Bengal was snoozing in a nice shady place. They look just as regal when they're sleeping!

And the resting flamingos were looking a lot like the yard ornaments.
And that's how the Zoo was handling the day!
Well better late then never my Granny used to always say. Again sorry about holdin these for so long.
HAPPY VIEWING !!

The first is from the Tigerhomes web cam. Since it was raining the only animal outside was the white tiger. What a beautiful animal!

(Don't know if it's just the time of year, the cam positions, a combo of both or what but it does make the picture a bit difficult to see)

Next I went to the Monterey Aquarium

and took two of the penguins

and one of the
magnificent leopard shark.
.

Then on to the NGM Seal cam.

It looks like a lot of the little ones climb up on dad for a rest!

Finally I stopped off at the giraffe cam at the Colorado Zoo. There has been a new addition. So far I have only seen him over in the corner getting attention and probably giraffe crackers,
but today I got one of him before he got over there! He's adorable.

Phew! Was that a trip. From one coast to the other in no time at all. Thanks Katie Girl. Won't it be so cool to visit the Colorado Zoo. Wonder if the raffie's are the only one that let you get so close? Bet they watch every second so as no harm comes to them.

Until later HAPPY VIEWING !!
Naturally after I emailed you the first set of pictures I went back and got a few, much better, shots. Use these in place of some of the others. ~ Katie Girl
Sorry Katie Girl I use everything sent in ! The Good, the Bad and the Ugly ! LOL Every picture is worth looking at. If someone took the time to send it, I can post it. And who said your shots are to blame. Looks like maybe the cam angle combined with the position of the sun may be the problem. Or maybe it's just too sunny there!

I don't think I sent you this addy yet because nothing was visible for pictures. However, today was bountiful! I was slow, the animals were FAST, but a few shots were taken. Check this out!
