EXTRA SPECIAL POST

Ellies Galore
A poem by Lynty
Oct. 28, 2006

How many people can one fit
in a phone booth, stand, squish, sit,
or into a VW beatle that tiny wee car?
Guess how many people, therein, there are!

Well everything 'pends on the size of the peeps,
big 'uns, li'l uns' and how many deep.
So numbers may vary with all sorts of stats,
also with people, thin ones and the fat cats.

Now think of the bush and animals there
which ones are funny and which ones just stare.
The ellies are lovely, especially the young
full of energy always giving tongue.

Once they had drunk from waters divine,
splashed enough water to make their hides shine,
they packed themselves tight, in the harbour beyond
the rocky point, in now full, Pete's Pond.

So how many ellies can one see in the water?
Depends on whether the cam is on manned or on auto,
but my guess from all I have seen in the shots
is ellies galore, lots and lots and lots!
