Stopped by the cam at www.gatorland.com and got these. Guess I caught it at the right time, it was feeding time. It appears that visitors are able to feed scraps to the gators and pose for snap shots. There is a staff person there with a very long stick which he was using to keep people from getting to close and gators from coming to far out of the water. Don't know if I'd let my child that close!
Also got a few birds.
Look how close the two are. I saw this over and over. I can only guess but I think it's because the gators are feed on a regular basis they don't go after any of the wading birds.
