I happened to catch Pieter doing a drive once and he said that the dominant male in a Vervet group could be ID'd by a blue scrotum. Kinda hard to see but I'd say this was a dominant male.
Thing is, he was the only one there. Pieter also said that the male would 'scout ahead', but there never were any others.
Wonder if this guy recently 'lost' his spot?
