DRIVE CAM 10/24 PM DRIVE

Got on late, no news there. But it does look as if there is some rain, much needed, moving in.

Definitely rain coming. Animals will be jumpy with the wind picking up.

These Impala are a nervous bunch. And one found the landie quite interesting.

Big Nyala Bull. One of the largest in the area.

Large Bull. Estimated to be around 40 years of age.

Step up and over

Couple of 'teenage' bulls practicing their skills.

The "Judge" and a few friends. Can tell him back his lack of horns.

Their horns remind me of 'Pippi Longstocking' (if your old enough to remember her LOL)

Found the Ellies again.

They are on the move. Places to go, things to see !

Hamerkop looking for dinner

Peek, I see you !

Now at this point, the drive runs into a bit of trouble. Seems that the bush is 'attacking' the cam op. So, it's off the Gowrie while they sort things out.

Buffalo

I know this may sound odd but I did notice that the closest buff was urinating in a circular area. Maybe to mark a larger area?
.

Back on the landie, Cam op (Rob I think) has taken a branch to the face. Nothing to serious but painful just the same. And we've switched over to night vision. While driving Pieter gets a bug in his eye and says "Between the bush and the bugs, it's a Jungle out here". LOL

Flat neck Chameleon. Hand is to help show size. Normally don't see to many of these due to the fact they change color to blend in. Also said that this one was on the larger size.

They are nicknamed
"Little Lion" and we should see more of them as the summer goes on. Maybe we'll get to see why they got that name !
