Thought I saw you around on the end of the drive. I waved but you must not of seen me.

Jan telling us that they have a 'surprise for everyone later in the Drive'

Right away we see a little Steenbok pair. Couldn't really see the Male though.

Lone Waterbuck. Well not totally alone, the rest were a bit further down the road.

Yellowbilled Hornbill

Switched back to WH to see some Beesties

Another Steenbok. This one Jan remembers from about 1 year ago. She has only half of her right ear.

But it looks as if she's healed well and doing fine.

Jan was telling us about the McDonald's of the bush and almost missed an Ellie !

Don't often see Greybilled Hornbill. Now all we need is a Redbilled ! LOL

OK here's the McDonald's of the bush. The black markings on the behind of an Impala remind people of all the McD signs all over the States. And since there are so many Impala's there they have the nickname McD of the bush. Cute

Driving along Jan says 'smells like something died here' He stopped to check but didn't find anything. Said it smelled like something small, may be a rat, mouse, mongoose or some other type of rodent. (they smell different then say a Impala ??)

Speaking of Mongoose here's one now. Don't often see them in the road. (If mentioning them bring them into cam range, mention a Cheetah !)

Driving by Gowrie we see a couple of Impala bucks. Rutting season starts soon, guess they are honing their skills.

Gowrie from the other end. Would ya look at all that water ! !

Here we are ! At a small pan for our surprise ... Frogging !

Took a few for them to set up spots so they could see but we're ready now !

First find !

Hard to see against this background

Trying to find out for sure which it is. Olive Toad, just a small one

Now what's this, looks big.

Turns out to be a very small Dung beetle

Olive seems to be hanging out for a while

Unexpected find ... Crab
.
That's a wrap for this Drive.
