MORNING AT PETE'S

This Kingfisher has breakfast.

Now I watched for around 10 minutes while he whacked it against the limb over and over

Not sure what all the fish whacking was about though

See the second one waiting.

In the blink of an eye the second one has the fish and our whacker was gone.

This one continued the ritual of whacking. I finally decided that they were either 1) trying to get the scales off or 2) mushing it up before consumption.

Don't know what these are but they are pretty.
