FROM THE NATIONAL ZOO

It was finally announced today (Aug 13, 2008) by Zoo officials that Mei Xiang will not be producing a cub this year. Poor girl - all she went through! All we can do is hope for the best next year! I closely monitored her for about the last month and a half and it appeared she went through a lot of being just all around uncomfortable! I have attached just a few of the shots that I collected during this time. It really is nice to have her back to normal!

Well I'm glad she's 'back to her old self'' but it is indeed disappointing there isn't a new one on the way. But there's always the next time !
